RICHARD BERGER has been involved in media of various kinds for over 35 years. Fresh out of high school in the 60's, he started working with various Rock, Soul, and R & B bands up and down the East Coast as a musician, ultimately deciding to leave touring for the more stable world of studio work and arranging. In the early 70's, he studied Music Composition, and then in 1980 came out to Hollywood where he spent the next few years pursuing a career as a Film composer, writing music for Documentaries, Feature Films, and TV programming both in the U.S. and Internationally.
Always fascinated with technology, he was one of the first people in town to create real-sounding orchestrations using MIDI and electronic instruments. When the Digital Video revolution took hold, he was again on the cutting-edge of that, learning to shoot, edit, and do post-production for many types of programming...and ultimately having to take up the crafts of producing, screenwriting, and directing in order to see projects through from beginning to end.
He also serves on the board of I.D.E.A.S. (an organization dedicated to creating documentaries that raise social-awareness of important issues) and has just finished and is currently marketing a DVD entitled "THE BASICS - A Beginners Guide to Wine". |
