NORTH HOLLYWOOD , Calif. , November. 8, 2006 – After five days filled with 126 student film screenings, as well as numerous presentations, the Fourth Annual International Student Film Festival Hollywood drew to a close on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at The Beverly Garland Theatre in North Hollywood
The opening night ceremonies honored famed producer, Bonnie Bruckheimer with the 2006 Festival Award for her dedication to quality filmmaking.Ms. Bruckheimerproducedsuch acclaimed films as, "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," "Beaches," "For The Boys," "Hocus Pocus," and many, many more including winning three Emmys for producing music and comedy specials for television. She shared many stories of her struggles, passion and persistence to become a producer, and encouraged the young filmmakers in attendance, not to take "no" for an answer if they truly believe in their film.
Also acknowledged during the night's festivities was project manager, Garzala Pirzada of CRA/LA for their 4 th year as the festivals loving and consistent supporters along with the newest of supporters, Echelon Entertainment Studios, with CEO Eric Louzil accepting their plaque. For the first time, the winners have an inside track to getting their films distributed. President and founder of the festival, Robin Saban has acquired the participation of Echelon Entertainment Studios who have generously offered to represent the winning students in anticipation of acquiring a good distribution deal for their films.
Appreciation was also shown to the Judging Panels, Rick Partlow, Actor/Foley Artist; Jim Landstrom, Dean of Columbia College Hollywood; Victor Marcel, Actor/Acting Coach; and Steve Adrianson, Editor, and the Blue Ribbon Judges, Daniele Suissa, Producer/Director/Professor Film Studies; David Lloyd, Editor/Film Instructor; Richard Berger, Writer/Producer; Erick Green, Cinematographer; Alex Hakobian, FilmTeacher/Writer, and Jody Jaress, Film Actress/Writer
The Legendary actor Charles Durning, graced the closing night Awards Ceremonies by honoring the winning student filmmakers with their plaques. Other presenters were Robin Saban, founder and president of the festival; Ken Delvecchio, Echelon's head of Acquisitions for the Eastcoast office, Francine Delvecchio, Justice For All Productions; BJ Davis; Mike Petolino, casting director; and Michelle Fisher, actress.

Robin the Humanitarian Award for his dedication to the next generation of filmmakers by giving them the opportunity to showcase their creations to the Hollywood Communities.

The Festival received more than 250 submissions from high schools, colleges, universities
and private film schools worldwide, including such countries as Australia, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, UK, Iceland, Singapore and the United States.
During the week long screenings, guests included the well-known actress Beverly Garland, our major sponsors, CRA/LA and J.H. Synder Development Corporation, Gilmore Associate, Echelon Entertainment. There were producers, writers, alongwith many of our benefactors and community leaders from North Hollywood, and more than 2500 curious film buffs in attendance.
The International Student Film Festival Hollywood is giving student filmmakers from around the world a unique opportunity to showcase their work in the entertainment capital of the world, " Hollywood." A veteran film editor, Robin Saban's years of work in entertainment inspired him to create this festival as an outlet for promising student filmmakers. Mr. Saban has reached out to the deans, principals, film professors, and students at more than 1000 universities and high schools worldwide to generate awareness and excitement for the festival.
